  Fully‑automatic sofa durability testing machine. This instrument simulates the ability of sofa seat surfaces to withstand long‑term repeated loads under daily‑use conditions.

Working Principle

  This instrument uses loading modules of specified shape and weight to repeatedly apply load to the seat surface, backrest and armrest parts of a horizontally‑placed sofa at a set height, frequency and force, so as to test the sofa's capacity to withstand long‑term repetitive loads.

Instrument Features

1. 【Easy Operation】The loading device of the sofa durability tester adopts full‑guide‑rail guided movement for accurate loading points. Featuring easy operation and minimal routine maintenance, it can run automatically until the test is completed or the specimen is damaged.


2. 【Automatic Operation】

① The equipment automatically measures the seat surface height of the test position on the specimen, obtains and records the initial average height of the specimen.

② It automatically conducts durability tests for the first, second, third and fourth stages on the specimen, and automatically measures data such as seat surface height and compression in each stage.

③ The equipment performs a pre‑compression test on the specimen seat surface for 100 cycles at a rate of 20 cycles/min‑25 cycles/min. The specimen can freely recover for 15 min under unloading conditions (time adjustable) in preparation for the first‑stage test.

④ Each test phase proceeds to the next step automatically without manual intervention, completing the whole test and reducing labor costs and work intensity.

4. 【Wide Applicability】The sofa durability tester supports tests on various specimens. The test range for single‑seater sofa armrests is 480‑600 mm; seat impact height ranges from 0‑500 mm; stroke for thickness/compression measurement ranges from 0‑400 mm.


5. 【Electric Lifting】The sofa durability tester uses electric lifting. Simply operate on the control panel, and the machine will automatically complete lifting and lowering movements.


6. 【Automatic Impact Height Calculation】Based on measured data and relevant standards, the sofa durability tester automatically calculates sofa impact height, eliminating complicated manual operations with high accuracy and reliability.


7. 【Instrument Fault Protection】

① Cylinder stroke limit — limits the stroke range of the cylinder in the instrument test channel.

② Power‑failure protection — current test data is instantly saved upon power cut. Previous test data can be reviewed or testing can be resumed once power is restored.

③ Force limit — limits the maximum output force of the instrument. The instrument will trigger an alarm and stop automatically when the force applied to the specimen exceeds the set value.

④ Time‑out protection — sets a time limit for each test; an alarm will be triggered in case of time‑out abnormality.


8. 【Rigid Support】The base of the sofa durability tester combines high‑quality carbon steel plates and high‑strength aluminum alloy profiles. No ground anchoring is required, which fully guarantees operational stability of the instrument.


9. 【TST Control System】Test cycles can be freely set within 0‑999999. The machine stops automatically upon reaching the preset cycles. Test results are auto‑saved in case of intermediate shutdown or power failure, and intelligent automatic alarm is triggered for abnormalities or test completion.
