The oxygen index tester complies with the national standard GB/T 2406. It is an instrument used to determine the oxygen concentration (volume percentage) required for polymers during combustion.
The oxygen index value of a polymer refers to the minimum volume percentage of oxygen in an oxygen nitrogen mixture that enables the material to sustain combustion for 50 mm burning length or 3 minute burning time after ignition.
This instrument features simple structure and easy operation. It can serve as a means to identify the combustion performance of polymers, as well as a relevant research tool for better understanding the combustion process of polymers.
Suitable for testing the combustion performance of plastics, rubber, foams and other materials, the tester delivers accurate measurement results with good reproducibility. It is an essential testing instrument for the research and production of flame retardant materials.
