Auto PF1000 Automatic Formaldehyde Tester for Textiles

The Auto PF1000 Automatic Textile Formaldehyde Tester uses warm‑water extraction to isolate free and hydrolyzable formaldehyde from textiles. Formaldehyde undergoes a specific color‑developing reaction with acetylacetone reagent under constant‑temperature conditions to form a stable pale‑yellow colored complex. The depth of the solution color is proportional to the formaldehyde concentration. The instrument detects absorbance with a light source at the specific wavelength of 412 nm and automatically calculates the formaldehyde content in textiles against the standard curve.

Working Principle

Overall Principle: Water Extraction Method + Acetylacetone Spectrophotometric Method (GB/T 2912.1‑2009/ISO 14184‑1:2011 Textiles)

Warm water is used to extract free and hydrolyzable formaldehyde from textiles. Under constant‑temperature conditions, formaldehyde undergoes a specific chromogenic reaction with acetylacetone reagent to form a stable pale‑yellow coloured complex. The depth of the solution colour is proportional to formaldehyde concentration. The instrument detects absorbance using a light source at the specific wavelength of 412 nm, and automatically calculates the formaldehyde content in textiles against the standard curve.

Instrument Features

Intelligent

Realize full‑process automation for textile formaldehyde determination (excluding sample weighing), including liquid addition, lid placement and removal, water‑bath constant‑temperature oscillation, as well as sample filtration, quantitative liquid sampling, color‑reagent addition, water‑bath constant‑temperature color development, automatic detection and other procedures. During product operation, the system monitors and judges the operations of each step in real time to ensure excellent automatic measurement performance of the device.

Efficient

The detector adopts micro‑processing error‑free T/A conversion technology. It can hold up to 72 samples and perform dual‑channel simultaneous detection to achieve accurate, fast and automatic measurement. The split‑type water bath enables flexible alternating operation for different batches of samples. Based on an 8‑hour daily working period, the product can complete automatic measurement of 144 samples.

Reliable

Auto PF1000 uses an LED light source featuring high wavelength accuracy, good monochromaticity, low stray light, low power consumption, high luminous efficiency and long service life. The measuring device delivers favorable long‑term stability and good consistency in the slope of the standard calibration working curve, enabling long‑term accurate system measurement. One‑time preparation of the standard calibration working curve supports measurement of all samples of the same day, cutting down the time consumed by repeated device standard calibration.

Convenient

The self‑developed operating system is simple, intuitive and user‑friendly. Running on mainstream industrial control computers, the system is stable, reliable and highly anti‑interference, with easy‑to‑implement hardware and software upgrades in later stages. Complete report output modes can satisfy report requirements of most testing institutions. The software boasts strong scalability, and various new functions can be customized according to customer demands, such as connection to the LIMS system or remote data transmission.
